The POA Board of Directors

The Pension Scheme for the Pharmacy Sector (POA) has its own Board of Directors. The Board holds overall responsibility for ensuring that the pension fund maintains a satisfactory financial position, and that it is administered in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion.

This includes overall responsibility for the investment strategy and the monitoring of the pension fund's asset management.

The Board determines the annual adjustment of pensions, as well as setting the premium rates.

Composition of the Board

The Board is chaired by the Managing Director of the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund (SPK) and further consists of four board members with personal deputies.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion appoints the Board for a term of four years, based on nominations from the employer associations Virke and Spekter, and the employee unions the Norwegian Association of Pharmacists (Farmaceutisk Forening) and the Norwegian Association of Pharmacy Technicians (Farmasiforbundet).
